Prior tojoining PM Group, Kieran held seniorregional management EHS positionswithin multinational organisations in thepharmaceutical, food <strong>and</strong> semiconductormanufacturing sectors. He leads <strong>Environment</strong> Agencypolicy on water, regulation, climate change,sustainable development, l<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> thenatural environment.Ed has been with the <strong>Environment</strong> Agencysince December 2007. Previously hewas Special Advisor to the Rt. Hon.Margaret Beckett, MP, Foreign Secretary<strong>and</strong> Secretary of State for <strong>Environment</strong>,Food <strong>and</strong> Rural Affairs.Prior to that, the majority of Ed’s careerhas been in the private sector. He wasDirector of <strong>Environment</strong> <strong>and</strong> CorporateResponsibility at RWE Thames Water,worked in environmental managementfor GlaxoSmithKline <strong>and</strong> spent timein consultancy.Ed is a non-executive Director forWater <strong>and</strong> Sanitation for the Urban Poor,a not-for-profit company he helped set upwhich provides water services to peopleliving in slums in the developing world.Liam O’SullivanProgramme Director – Low CarbonLondon, UK Power <strong>Networks</strong>Liam is currently the TransmissionConstruction Director & EngineeringManager responsible for the design <strong>and</strong>delivery, commercial, health <strong>and</strong> safetyaspects of a multi-million (c. £200m)multi – disciplined engineering project toconstruct <strong>and</strong> operate the electricitytransmission infrastructure for the London2012 Olympic Games.The role involves the successfulmanagement <strong>and</strong> delivery of a numberof key organisations, interfaces <strong>and</strong>skills across a range of direct <strong>and</strong>contract staff; engineering <strong>and</strong> specialistservices consultants; contractors,equipment suppliers, internal <strong>and</strong>external stakeholders.The works include the design,procurement, construction, commissioning<strong>and</strong> energisation of electricity transmissionassets <strong>and</strong> infrastructure including: theconstruction of deep underground tunnels<strong>and</strong> substation buildings; substations& equipment to 132kV (132,000 volts)sourced from the four ‘corners’ of the globe– for example large power transformers asfar as Australia; switchgear from Germany;power cables from France.It is as diverse as it is developing;<strong>and</strong> is truly challenging, exciting <strong>and</strong>extremely fulfilling.Liam studied <strong>and</strong> read for a Bachelorof Engineering (Hons) Degreein Engineering <strong>and</strong> having obtained a1st Class Honours degree, he has workedin the UK power industry, in the Londonregion, since 1997; <strong>and</strong> has fulfilled avariety of design, project engineering<strong>and</strong> management roles on a numberof diverse <strong>and</strong> multi-million poundinfrastructure projects.He is a member of the IET (Institution ofEngineering & Technology), <strong>and</strong> of theAPM (Association of Project Management),<strong>and</strong> lead the team in winning the APM’sProject of the Year Award 2009 <strong>and</strong> theRIBA Building of the Year Award Categoryfor Industrial & Commercial Building of theYear 2010; the Brick Awards <strong>and</strong> one totwo other accolades, most recently theODA’s <strong>Health</strong> & <strong>Safety</strong> Manager of theYear 2010. He was also shortlisted to thelast 3 for the APM’s Project Manager ofthe Year Award.....David PorterChief Executive, <strong>Energy</strong> UKDavid began his career in localgovernment.
