The Registrar, Punjab and Haryana High Court,ChandigarhDated Chandigarh, the 8-5-80.Subject : Reservation of posts for Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes and Ex-Servicemen inthe Services of Haryana State.I am directed to invite a reference to para 1(5) of the Haryana Government letterNo. 38/20/78-2GSI, dated the 9th February 1979 on the above subject and to say that on furtherconsideration it has been decided by the State Government that the benefit of reservation should begiven to the reserved categories of persons also in respect of those vacancies which may occur as aresult of promotion on regular basis. Henceforth; para 1(5) of Haryana Government letter referred toabove shall be read as under:—“The reservation should be given both against the new posts, whether permanent ortemporary, as well as against vacancies which may occur as a result of death, retirement,resignation, removal, dismissal or promotion on regular basis”.2. The above decision should be brought to the notice of all concerned working under youfor strict compliance3. Receipt of this communication may kindly be acknowleged.A copy is forwarded to :—1.
