Funny stories of everyday life clearly demonstrate that good
behavior and being considerate of others are important for
a harmonious life with others.
CONTENT
Pete is actually a perfectly normal boy. But Pete is also a
pirate, or at least he acts like one - singing wild sailors'
songs, being loud, cutting in line, and his imaginary band of
pirates gives him a loud round of applause every time. Pete's
parents are not amused by this. But there is still Grandpa,
who used to be a pirate too, who even understands Pete
when he talks with his mouth full. Pete wishes he had
pirates for parents...
Pete's wish is granted, because the next day his parents are
completely transformed: loud, inconsiderate and only
concerned with themselves. Pete soon notices how
unpleasant it is to live with self-centered pirates who only
think of their own fun. So the family comes up with a Pirate
Day, when everyone can be as wild as they want, because
everyone is in on the fun. Pete's imaginary band of pirates
finds the idea stupid, and grudgingly moves on.
