CONTENT
Everywhere people are climbing into their beds and
sleeping, but on the farm the animals are still awake. Before
the cow, the sheep, the pig, the duck and the chickens can
go to sleep, too, they need your child's help. By folding the
large pages, one animal after the other is settled into its
resting place on the farm. Where light still burns at first, it is
dark now and all are sleeping peacefully. On the last page
everyone is in their bed except the child.
Narration that directly addresses the child and repetition of
turning out the lights in the book makes it an innovative
and appealing companion for the daily going-to-bed ritual,
encouraging children to sleep tight and have sweet dreams.
THE ILLUSTRATOR
Heidi Wittlinger works as a freelance designer/illustrator,
animator and animation director in Berlin. Her short films
received numerous awards. Nighty Night is based on her
famous and bestselling bed-time app.
