Its members combine their specialized abilities tofurther advance the research, development, design, manufacture and utilization of vehicleswhich operate on land, water, air and space.

• EVENTS WITH SAE BAJA:The objective of the competition is to provide SAE student members with a challengingproject that involves design, engineering, planning, manufacturing and marketing the tasksfound.When introducing a new product to the consumer industrial market. Teams competeagainst one another to have their design accepted for manufacture by a fictitious firm.Students must function as a team not only to design, build, test, promote, and run a vehiclewithin the limits of the rules, but also to generate financial support for their project andmanage their educational priorities. Each team’s goal is to design and build a prototype of arugged single seat, off-road recreational four-wheel vehicle intended for sale to the nonprofessional,weekend off-road enthusiast. The competition goals include that the vehiclemust be safe, easily transported, easily maintained and fun to drive. It should be able tonegotiate rough terrain in all types of weather without damage. SUPRAThe SUPRA SAEINDIA is a competition which presents the Under Graduate & Post GraduateEngineering Students the task of designing, modelling and fabricating a formula type racingcar. EFFI-CYCLEConserving our planet transcends race, gender, ethnicity, religion and political orientation. Itis the one characteristic we share, we reside on this planet and the need to cooperate topreserve her is not as voluntary as it may seem, it is, as said, our last resort. It is the onehope for future that can unite us. SAEINDIA EffiCycle’11 is one such initiative of its kind. Effi-Cycle encourages students to devise technologies that would lay the foundation for thefuture TECHNICAL PAPERSMembers can get their research published in the leading technical letters, also the societyallows them to have an access to the works of various scientists and professors for theirreferrals.
