District school boards are receiving additional funding through the Grant for SchoolOperations for the ongoing licensing and hosting fees associated with the ReCAPPsoftware package. Boards receive the lesser of the amount specified in Table 8 of the2006-07 Grant Regulation, Amount for Renewal Software Licensing Fee, and theamount actually expended by the board for the licensing and hosting fees as reported inthe 2006-07 <strong>Financial</strong> Statements.Boards have had access <strong>to</strong> their ReCAPP databases since 2005. As part of theMinistry’s accountability framework and the ongoing management of the <strong>Good</strong> <strong>Places</strong> <strong>to</strong><strong>Learn</strong> <strong>Stage</strong> 1 and <strong>Stage</strong> 2 initiatives, boards are required <strong>to</strong> update information in theirdatabase <strong>to</strong> reflect renewal projects completed and/or underway.assist boards in selecting projects and developing effective school renewal programs.
