IntroductionIn order to encourage scientific research, the <strong>University</strong> <strong>American</strong> <strong>College</strong> Skopje as <strong>of</strong> thisacademic year (2010‐<strong>2011</strong>) established the practice <strong>of</strong> publishing abstracts <strong>of</strong> the publishedpapers and the papers presented at conferences by its faculty. The main objective <strong>of</strong> thisactivity is to promote research and to spread information among the faculty about theresearch areas and interests <strong>of</strong> the others.
