OrganisationThe organisation of the <strong>EUROCLAY</strong> <strong>2007</strong> conference wasassigned to the Associação Portuguesa de Argilas (APA),the Portuguese Clay Group, by the General Assembly ofECGA during the previous <strong>EUROCLAY</strong> 2003, hold inModena, Italy.


Venue<strong>EUROCLAY</strong> <strong>2007</strong> venue will be inthe University of Aveiro.Aveiro is located at about 250 km tothe North of Lisbon (60 km to theSouth of Oporto), having goodhighway and railway connectionsto/from both these two cities (aquick train each hour).


VenueAveiro is a lively city with 75.000 inhabitants at the focusof an important region of business and enterprise.


VenueAveiro is distant about 6 km from the Atlantic coastline. Themain characteristic of the surrounding area is an extensivecoastal lagoon ("ria") covering some 11,000 hectaresbetween the land and the ocean.


Founded in 1973, the University of Aveiro is nowan exponent of quality and progress, occupying anoutstanding place in the field of higher educationand scientific and technological research.


The most modern and complete infrastructures are at thedisposal of the university teaching staff and students,providing all the facilities needed for their comfort and thecarrying out of their work and study.

First Circular and Webb SiteThe Webb Site and the First Circularincluding the Registration Form andessential deadlines are planned for January2005 and will be distributed to all the ECGAmembers as well as in a wide field ofspecialists involved in clay research.Webb-page will be linked with the ECGAone (as well as, must probably, with thenational groups webb-pages).
