<strong>RSA</strong> <strong>Authentication</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> <strong>6.1</strong> Administrator’s <strong>Guide</strong>For information about configuring your system to use one of the supported Latin-1languages, see the Windows Installation <strong>Guide</strong>.Important: Language support and use must be uniform throughout an<strong>RSA</strong> <strong>Authentication</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> installation. All Primary <strong>Authentication</strong> <strong>Manager</strong>s,Replica <strong>Authentication</strong> <strong>Manager</strong>s, and Remote Administration machines across allrealms must support the same language. <strong>The</strong> language of each Replica database mustbe the same as the language of its Primary database, and you cannot administer an<strong>Authentication</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> database that supports one language from a RemoteAdministration machine that supports a different language. Users in a non-Englishlanguage realm cannot authenticate in an English language realm.Applicable Data FieldsAll text fields in the <strong>RSA</strong> <strong>Authentication</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> database are enabled fornon-English character input except for the restricted fields listed in the followingtable. <strong>The</strong>se text fields accept only single-byte English characters:Dialog BoxesAdd User, Edit UserAdd Agent Host, Edit Agent HostAdd Realm, Edit RealmAdd Realm, Edit RealmText FieldDefault LoginNamePrimary NameReplica NameNumeric fields accept only single-byte Arabic numerals.Entering Japanese Characters with MS-IME97With the <strong>RSA</strong> <strong>Authentication</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> Database Administration application you canenter Japanese characters (Katakana, Hiragana, and Kanji) in all text fields of the<strong>Authentication</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> database, except those fields listed in the preceding section,“Applicable Data Fields.”To enter Japanese characters, you must use a machine running the Japanese version ofWindows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows 2003 Server.This section explains how to enter Japanese characters using the MS-IME97(Microsoft Input Method Editor).
