Slide the Headstock ReleaseHandle towards outboard end oflathe, and rotate the headstock to adetent position. Do not push downon the handle.! Warning!Use the detent latch positionsto prevent headstock movementduring turning.4. Pull the index knob and turn it leftuntil the pin drops into the hole. Tolock the spindle it must engage intoa hole in the headstock pulley.!
