[e] For the purpose of computing averages and aggregates for all competitions, performances in Semi Finals and<br />

Finals shall not be taken into account.<br />

[f] Batting and bowling awards in the Under 16 Competition and the Second Grade Shield shall be based on the<br />

aggregate number of wickets or runs in that competition.<br />

35. SEMI FINALS & FINALS<br />

35.1 Eligibility<br />

[a] For the purpose of this regulation, the words “Final Match[es]” shall mean Semi Finals and Finals and the word<br />

“Fixture[s]” shall mean Grade Competition Fixtures unless otherwise stated.<br />

[b] To be eligible to play in Finals Matches with any Grade (other than the Katherine Raymont Shield, Women’s<br />

Second Grade, the Under 16 and Sunday Legends’ Competitions), a player must have played at least eight days<br />

in that Grade and/or any lower Grades (including Two Day, One Day and Twenty20 matches, subject to [d]<br />

below) during the season, excepting for Senior State and/or National players who will be eligible for First Grade<br />

only.<br />

Notes: For the purpose of calculating eligibility for Finals Matches, the Under 16 Competition shall be<br />

considered the lowest Grade.Semi Finals and Finals played in either the First Grade or Second Grade<br />

One Day and Twenty20 Competitions shall not be counted in calculating player eligibility for the<br />

Premiership Semi Finals and Finals.<br />

[c] Eligibility for The Katherine Raymont Shield One Day Final shall be four days andthe Second Grade Shield<br />

Final shall be three [3] days. For eligibility purposes, matches played in the Second Grade Shield shall count<br />

towards the total number of days played in The Katherine Raymont Shield.<br />

[d] For the purposes of [b] and [c] above participation in a Twenty20 match shall be counted as a half day.<br />

[e] To be eligible for Final Matches in First Grade One Day First Grade Twenty20, Second Grade One Day,<br />

Second Grade Twenty20 and Katherine Raymont Shield Twenty20 competitions, a player must have played at<br />

least two matches in that format in that Grade and/or any lower Grades during the season, excepting for<br />

[i] Senior State and/or National players who will be eligible for First Grade / The Katherine Raymont Shield<br />

only.<br />

Example: To be eligible for a Twenty20 Final Match in the Alan Pettigrew Shield, a player must have played at<br />

least two Twenty20 matches in The Alan Pettigrew and/or Norm McMahon and/or Bob Spence<br />

and/or Roy Tanner and/or WEP Harris Shields.<br />

[f] For the purposes of [e] above, only scheduled One Day matches shall be counted towards eligibility for Final<br />

Matches in One Day Competitions.<br />

[g] Players competing in the Under 16 Competition, must have played in at least three days in that Competition to<br />

be eligible to play in the Under 16 Final.<br />

[h] If no play is possible in any fixture, players who are selected to play in this fixture will be able to count the<br />

match towards their qualification for Semi Finals and Finals.<br />

[i] Players registered with a Club, who have played eight [8] days in a <strong>Queensland</strong> <strong>Cricket</strong> Affiliated Bodies<br />

Competition, are eligible to play in Grade Competition Finals. [Documentation must be provided to the Grade<br />

Secretary]<br />

[j] Where a Club has two [2] or more teams in the one Grade, a player must have played at least eight days with the<br />

team they propose to play with (or in a lower Grade) in the Finals Matches.<br />

[k] Despite Regulation 9 [a], no player may be demoted more than one Grade from their last Fixture played except<br />

with the approval of the Grade Committee.<br />

[l] Despite [b] above any Club with any consecutive teams in Finals Matches may select any player eligible for the<br />

higher Grade in the next lower Grade [provided that the number of players so demoted does not exceed two [2]<br />

except with the approval of the Grade Committee].<br />

[m] Any player who by virtue of paragraph [j] is eligible to play in a Semi Final Match, and does play, shall<br />

automatically become ineligible to participate in the Finals Match should the Club’s team in the higher Grade be<br />

eliminated from the Final.<br />

35.2 Ground Allocations<br />

[a] The Grade Committee shall allocate the grounds on which Semi Finals and Finals are played. Subject to<br />

Regulation 35.2 [c], in all Semi Finals and Finals the team that has finished higher on the premiership ladder<br />

shall have the right to nominate one of its home grounds as the ground on which the Semi Final or Final is<br />

played. If the team that has finished higher on the premiership ladder does not nominate one of its home grounds<br />

as the venue for the Semi Final or Final then the opposing team has the right to nominate one of its home<br />

grounds as the venue for the Semi Final or the Final. If the opposing team does not nominate one of its home<br />
