8.5.2 Where the delay or interruption prevents the team batting second from receiving the same<br />

number of overs as the team batting first, the number of overs for which field restrictions shall<br />

apply in the innings of the team batting second shall be reduced in proportion to the number of<br />

overs scheduled to be bowled in the innings. (The calculation shall be the number of overs<br />

scheduled to be bowled multiplied by 0.3).<br />

8.5.3 Fractions are to be ignored in the calculation of the number of fielding restriction overs.<br />

9. FINAL<br />

9.1 The two leading teams at the completion of the rounds in the Second Grade Shield play in a 35 over Final<br />

under the following scheduled daily playing hours.<br />

Grade Days Session 1 Interval 1 Session 2<br />

Second Grade Shield 1 12:45pm – 2:45pm 2:45pm – 3:15pm 3:15pm – 5:15pm<br />

9.2 To be eligible to play in the Final, a player must have played 3 days (a 35 over match shall count as a full<br />

day and a Twenty20 a half day)<br />

10. LOANING OF PLAYERS<br />

10.1 At the Grade Committee’s discretion, Second Grade Shield players may be permitted to play for more than<br />

one Club in any given season, provided that the player’s Club grants permission for the player to be loaned<br />

to another Club. Such permission must be given in writing with a copy provided to the Grade Secretary<br />

prior to the commencement of the match in which the player is loaned to another Club. The player must be<br />

financially clear of their Club as per the provisions of Regulation 8, prior to being loaned to another Club.<br />

10.2 In the circumstances outlined in 10.1 above, all performances in the Second Grade Shield, for any Club,<br />

shall be counted for the purposes of Regulation 34 [Averages and Aggregates] and Regulation 35.1 [Semi-<br />

Finals & Finals: Eligibility].<br />

11. OTHER REGULATIONS<br />

All other regulations relating to the Grade Competition to apply, excepting the following:<br />
