Devi Lal University, Sirsa.Dated, Chandigarh the 26.10.2005.Subject:- Participation by Haryana Government Servants in Sporting eventsand tournaments of national or international importance-Grant ofincentive/facility.Sir,I am directed to invite your attention to para 2 of the HaryanaGovernment circular letter No. 273878-2GSII, dated 24.10.1990 on the subjectnoted above cited above , wherein certain incentives/facilities were extended toSports persons and Sports women participating in Civil Services Tournaments ofNational/International importance.2. Some Departments have been seeking clarification on the followingpoints:-i) Whether the Government employees who participate inNational/International Veteran events are also covered by theinstructions dated 24.10.90; andii)Whether DA is admissible on the amount of increment(s)?“On careful consideration of the matter it is clarified that the Governmentservants who participate in Civil Services Veteran Tournaments ofNational/International importance are also covered by the instructions underreference and further that D.A. which is not part of pay , will not be admissible onthe amount of increment (s)”.
