8.3 Exporting Worksheets • 295Plain TextExport a <strong>Maple</strong> worksheet as plain text so that you can open the text filein another application.Translation of <strong>Maple</strong> Worksheets to Plain Text When a <strong>Maple</strong> worksheetis translated to Plain Text, the following describes what happens tovarious worksheet elements.• <strong>Maple</strong> Input is preceded by a greater-than sign and a space (> ).• Text is preceded by nothing.• Page break objects insert manually in <strong>Maple</strong> are not supported whenexport as plain text.• Hidden content is not exported.• Graphics are not exported.• Special symbols like integral signs and exponents are dislayed incharacter-based typesetting.Exporting As Plain TextTo export a worksheet as plain text:1. Open the worksheet to export.2. From the File menu, select Export As. The Export As dialogopens.3. Select Plain Text as a file type.4. Specify a path and folder for the file.5.
