We drive vehicleswith power engines, power brakes,power steering, power locks, and powerwindows. It seems as though we can’tsurvive without power.Political leaders in our nation andaround the world are concerned withthe balance of power. Economists closelywatch the power of one currencyagainst another. Militaries around theworld are wary of the weapon capacityand firepower of their enemies.We are a generation that is consumedwith power. We demand it in every areaof our lives except one. In the churchworld, not having any power is readilyaccepted.Today, a church in which the powerof God is manifested is not the norm.When a church does rise up and demonstratethe power of God, it is brandedas wild.What has the Church come to?Where has the power gone?Transmitting God’sPower to the WorldI do not believe that we who arecalled by the Name of our Lord JesusChrist have a right to take a powerlessGospel to a lost and dying generation.Acts 1:8 says, “But ye shall receive power,after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:and ye shall be witnesses unto me. . . .”This verse shows us that when wereceive the Holy Spirit, we receivepower. It’s time for us as Christians tostart demonstrating the power of God tothose around us.We should not be satisfied with thestatus quo. We need to rise up and declare,“I’m born again by the blood of theLord Jesus Christ. I’ve been baptized inthe Holy Spirit and I speak in tongues.And I have the power of God in my life!”God wants a people who will standin the gap for this generation. He islooking for those who will go into thehighways and byways and not just askthe lost to come in but compel them tocome in. God desires a people who willtake His miracle-working power to thesick and dying.When was the last time you laid yourhands on someone and prayed for theirhealing? This is not something that onlypreachers should do. The Great Commissionwas given to every believer.Mark 16:18 says that when any believerlays hands on someone who is sick, thatperson shall recover! Not might recover,but shall.Let the ChurchArise!This is our hour! We are here forsuch a time as this. This is our timeto preach the Gospel with the powerof God in manifestation. The ApostlePaul understood this. He said in FirstThessalonians 1:5, “For when we broughtyou the Good News, it was not only withwords but also with power . . .” (NLT).We cannot, we must not, and we willnot be satisfied with a powerless Gospel.We must be known as the people whopreach the Gospel with power! We mustfall on our faces before God and seekHim until His power is demonstrated tothe world.It’s time to be known as GenerationP—the power generation—the generationthat has the manifestation of God’spower in our lives.Will you join me and make a commitmentto be part of a band of believerswho boldly invade the world of darkness?Will you take the power of God tothis generation?
