Burial will follow in RoselawnCemetery, Benson.Mr. Benson was born June 19, 1918 in Johnston County to the late Edgar A. and Mary "Molly"Coats Benson. He was a member of Benson Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Benson served in the USNavy during WWII in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Banner Post 109 AmericanLegion, the Johnston County Seabees and the Disabled American Veterans Commanders Club.Surviving include wife, Eva <strong>Adams</strong> Benson; daughters and sons-in-law Dr. Jean B. and Jerry L.Douglas of Greensboro, Drs. Janice B. and E. Randall Allen of Benson, and Sue B. and JerryVann of Angier; sisters Estelle B. Flythe of Garner, and Eloise Worrell of Tampa, FL; brother,Shelton A. MorganStreet died Tuesday at Johnston Memorial Hospital in <strong>Smith</strong>field. Funeral service will be 11 a.m.Thursday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Kendel Cameron and Dr. LynnBuzzard will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.Mr. Dixon was born in Johnston County, December 19, 1923, to the late Hubert and EllaHackney Dixon. He was a member of the Benson Baptist Church where he was a deacon andserved in many other capacities. Mr. Dixon was in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of WorldWar II, and was amember of American Legion Banner Post 109. He was a member of theBenson Lions Club and the Benson Fire Department. Mr. Dixon retired from the U.S. PostalService after 34 years of service and served as Postmaster.Surviving are wife, Lucy <strong>Adams</strong> Dixon; daughter, Debbie D.
