Funeralservices will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. Burialwill follow in Selma Memorial Gardens.Surviving are: wife, Geraldine <strong>Adams</strong> Peedin; son, Donald R. "Duck" Peedin of Pine Level;daughter, Bonnie P. Woodard of Pine Level; brothers, Clarence Peedin and Billy Windham bothof Pine Level, R.V. Peedin of Jacksonville, and Rudolph Peedin of Dudley; sisters, E.J. Bailey ofJacksonville and Eunice Kimbrough of <strong>Smith</strong>field; grandson, Stacy Peedin of Pine Level; and agranddaughter, Tonya Ball of Benson. Hewas born Aug. 27, 1926, in Harnett County to the late Alonzo Lee and Cora <strong>Adams</strong> Johnson. Hewas preceded in death by a brother, Albert Lee Johnson.He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Banner Post 109American Legion. He was a retired farmer. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.at Devotional Gardens in Dunn. Officiating will be Dr. Jim Cochran and Albert Gregory.Survivors include sisters, Willadean J. Johnson and Jacqueline J. Nordan, both of Coats, Lea J.Frank of Muttontown, N.Y., Patricia J. Jackson of Raleigh and Josephine J. Matthews ofRichmond, Va.; brothers, Tommy Johnson of Middlesex and Jimmy Johnson of Hillsborough;and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coatsand other times at the home of Jimmy N. and Willadean Johnson, 827 Live Oak Road, Coats.
