She also statesthat her job continues to be stable as long as she gets thekids to school on time and the laundry done.1985Lorna Potter Taylor graduated from McMurry twice—the first time in 1985 with a BBA in Accounting andthe second time ten years later in 1995 with a BSN inNursing. She is currently employed at Abilene RegionalMedical Center in the Surgical Services Department andis nationally certified in perianesthesia nursing. She wasalso named employee of the year in February 2008. Sheserves as Nursing Leadership Group Co-Chairperson andClinical Ladder Committee Chairperson.1995Major Allen Gradnigo’95 is among more than1,000 Air Force lieutenantcolonels, majors, captainsand civilians heading offin a few months to attendin-residence intermediateand senior educationcourses during the 2009-10 academic year. Specifically, Allen will hit the books atthe Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California tostudy strategic political and military affairs, earning histhird masters degree in the process. 1996Cynthia MackoMay ’96 and herhusband, LieutenantCommander StephenMay, USN havebeen stationed atNAF Atsugi in Japan(near Tokyo) sinceDecember 2007,where Stephen iscontinuing his careeras a Naval Aviator flying the EA6-B Prowler. They will bein Japan for approximately 2 more years. Cynthia had totemporarily leave her career as a research scientist for themove, but is enjoying a busy life running after their twoboys, Logan (5 yrs) and Kevin (1 yr). Cynthia recentlyclimbed Mt. Fuji and has participated in several Japanesefestivals while wearing the traditional kimono. 1999Amber Justus Redman ‘99 is currently living in FortWorth, Texas with her husband, Chris, and their identicaltwin boys, Takoda and Montana, who are 7 months old.Russell Vanlandingham ’95 was recently appointed theHead Men’s Basketball Coach at Our Lady of the LakeUniversity in San Antonio.
