Please contact your local Geocel ®Sales Representative prior to writing specifications on thisproduct.SURFACE PREPARATIONAll surfaces must be sound, clean, free from dust,grease, oil and loose materials.Surfaces with high suction should be thoroughlydampened before application.Any excess water should be removed from thesurface before application. Sands used in the mixesshould be well graded, clean, sharp sands, andshould conform to the appropriate British standards.APPLICATIONWaterproof renders:Dampen surfaces if necessary, then brush applyGeochem SBR Waterproof Bonding Agent, 1 partSBR: 1 part water: 5 parts cement (by volume)mixed to produce a smooth, creamy consistenceapproximately 1mm thick.For weak porous substrates, apply a coat of SBRbonding primer brushing vigorously into the surface.Allow to harden (minimum 16 hours: maximum 3days) and then apply a second coat of GeochemSBR Waterproof Bonding Agent. Whilst the finalcoat of bonding primer is still tacky, apply a renderof Mix A (see below) to a minimum thickness of6mm. Scratch this coat to provide a key, then applya second coat of Mix A at maximum thickness of6mm, when the first coat is firm (approx 5-6 hours).For 6mm-12mm thickness screeds – Use Mix BFor 12mm-25mm thickness screeds – Use Mix CFor 25mm-40mm thickness screeds – Use Mix Cwith Geochem SBR Waterproof Bonding Agent /water gauging liquid reduced to approx 5 litres/50kgcement (1 part SBR: 3 parts water)Heavy duty screeds:For 12mm-25mm thickness – Use Mix DFor 25mm-40mm thickness – Use Mix D withGeochem SBR Waterproof Bonding Agent /water gauging liquid reduced to approx 5 litres/50kg(1 part SBR: 3 parts water).The above screeds should be applied whilst thebonding primer is still tacky/wet.For dense water resistance concrete, Mix E shouldbe used.Enough gauging liquid should be used to provideworking consistency.
