He grew upthere and later in Walker County, Alabama. After the death <strong>of</strong> his mother in 1893, he went to live with hisolder sister, Della King <strong>Alford</strong> Crews. In 1900, Edward Lee was boarding in Pontotoc County,Mississippi, along with his brother, Egbert, with John Roane, working as farm laborer. Around 1902, hemoved in with his sister, Della King <strong>Alford</strong> Crews and lived there until Della and family moved toOklahoma in 1907. Edward Lee married Kathrine "Callie" Denning Porterfield (?-3/14/1918) in Dora,Alabama (Walker County) around 1906. Lee still lived in Dora in 1910 (census) and remained there untilaround 1925. His wife, Katherine died on March 14, 1918 in Dora, Alabama and is buried there. In about1925 Edward Lee moved out to Bokoshe, Oklahoma (LeFlore County), where his sister, Della was living.The 1930 census shows Edward, a widower, and his children living in Bokoshe, where he worked as a
