Theodosia{Ward), his wife; on the upper slab is a recumbenteffigy of the knight in plate armour; on the side of thetomb are shields of arms of the Brereton and Wardfamilies, and at the end another shield impalingboth coats: in the Moseley chancel are monuments toHumphrey Bulkeley esq. ob. Sep. 1678, and to BertieMarkland esq. d. 20 May, 1817: in the chancel proper arememorials to two former rectors, the Revs. Eoger Boyston,d. 1723; Edward Poole, d. 22 Sep. 1772, and to theBev. W. H. Prescot, of Brads-haw HaU, d. 16 Nov. 1842,and there are others to the Kelsalls of Bradshaw, 1675-1745 : the church was restored during the years 1878-80,at a cost of about ;^io,ooo, under the direction of Mr.James Medland Taylor, architect, of Manchester, andaffords 600 sittings, aU free at the evening service. Theregisters date from the year 1558. The living is a rectory,net yearly value, ^,500, with 6 acres of glebe andresidence in the gift of Sir D. L. Broughton bart. andheld since 1883 by the Eev.
