Cleveland S. Harley Baseball ParkUpon the generosity of Mr. Cleveland S. Harley, USC Upstateopened the Cleveland S. Harley Baseball Park with the first game onFebruary 1, 2004, a doubleheader sweep of Tusculum. Mr. Harley isan institution in Spartanburg, serving the community as a successfulbusinessman and a strong supporter of education. He sat on theSpartanburg County Board of Higher Education and was among thecommittee members who worked hard for the establishment of USCUpstate. He has been a strong supporter of USC Upstate ever since.Mr. Harley and his family have been instrumental in the growth ofthe university and, in particular, the athletics program. It is withtremendous gratitude and honor that we present the Cleveland S.Harley Baseball Park.The newly equipped batting cages are located behind the thirdbase dugout.Cleveland S.
