Trained by Robin Grille,Sydney-based psychologist and author of Parentingfor a Peaceful World and Heart to Heart Parenting, thesefacilitators are once again presenting two 6 weekprogram Heart to Heart courses for local parents & carers.from left to right -Lorella Ricci-Marriott, Sofi Thomson and Rachel van Raak-Shine“World peace is not only an entirely attainable goal, it is a modest one. Theconditions that would bring it about require but a small fraction of the effortand expense we devote to fighting wars and fighting crime. A continued socialevolution is quite possible, but it depends entirely on our collected efforts tokeep improving the emotional lives of children. Our commitment to children’s emotional health will enure our rapid evolutiontoward a peaceful, just, sustainable and enjoyable existence for all humanity.”Robin Grille - Parenting for a Peaceful WorldWhat is Heart to Heart Parenting?A twelve-session program that helps parents to build loving and supportive parenting communities, deepen the capacityfor healthy attachment and for being guides and inspirers of their children, and make the journey of parenting morejoyful.Heart to Heart Parenting Courses are experiential, educational and successful, as shown in testimonials from previousparticipants. The program empowers parents with key understandings about childhood emotional development. Ithelps parents to directly understand how their own early childhood experiences can at times distort how they perceivetheir children, and at other times fuel their capacity for nurturance. A central aspect of these courses involves armingparents with practical means of maintaining their own emotional wellbeing, and connecting them with each other so asto create supportive, co-operative parenting groups (the village).Over 200 local parents and professionals working in the area of caring for others have, over the last two years, participatedin these highly respected and successful courses.Come Together for Heart to Heart Parenting in the Red Tent Yoga Space21Join us at 5/102 Centennial Circuit, Byron’s Arts & Industry Park.Part I — Joyous Connection with Your Baby on 6 Saturday mornings from 2nd July to 6thAugust – 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.Part II — Joyous Connection with Your Toddler and Child on 6 Thursday evenings from18th August to 22nd September – 6:30 pm to 9:30 pmPart I and Part II are offered separately in a six-week course. It is with regret that, through circumstances out of the H2HP facilitator’s hands, the 3 free groups held inAugust/September 2010, by CARE Parent Support, were stopped mid-stream and before the participants completedthe 6-week courses. With much commitment and determination from well-trained local facilitators Heart to Heart Courses are happeningagain and the current facilitators of the program are willing to offer a completion and closure for those participantsfrom the Aug/Sept course, for free or by donation from the participant. If you are one of those participants please donot hesitate to contact us.” Sofi Thomsoninjoy
