IntegrateLovingfrom the Heartof Masculineand Feminineby Cynthia ConnopWhen women embody their feminine qualities of radianceand ‘love-light’ they are irresistible to the masculine. Whenmen live from the truth of their deepest purpose they aresuper attractive to women. We are given a preview of this magnetic polaritywhen we first fall in love with the erotic ‘other’, but sustainingit through the intimacies of modern relationships requireslearning and cultivating the art of loving. Our societyisn’t helpful in this regard, it promotes a post-feminist,dispassionate equality between men and women that is greatfor the boardroom but not for the bedroom. This current trend of neutrality between the sexesdenies our deeper desires for feminine surrender to masculinedirection. Imagine living in a culture that goes beyond equalityand gives recognition and encouragement of the feminineand masculine, synergistically combining our different powersto create a magical expansion of life and love. The essential masculine gifts of freedom, presence, guidance and depth of awareness are currently clouded withsuspicion and confusion as being dominating or macho.Yet there is a significant difference between the self-servingmasculine who needs to control and the evolved masculinewho has a noble desire to lead and serve others. A lack ofrecognition of the true masculine is giving many men a senseof impotency and self-doubt while women get stronger intheir masculine achievements. The feminine gifts of women are so alive and ready to flow intothe world, yet many women are hiding in the fear of ‘not beinggood enough’, or of being ‘too much’ if they let their love andbeauty shine. The evolved feminine embraces the fullness oflife and is loving, feeling, flowing, creative, devotional, earthyand at times fiercely inspiring. Are these more than ideals or can we apply thisknowledge in our daily lives? Around twelve years ago I metand studied with author and teacher David Deida and his expartnerSofia Diaz. This changed my life over several years. Idiscovered that we are deeply nurtured and enlivened byembodying our sexual essence of either masculine or feminineorientation. This is not to say that we must play out a role, oralways be a certain way, as we each need both feminine andmasculine energies, but to have a choice is liberating. The ways in which we can develop these abilities are varied andcreative. I would like to share with you some tried and proventips of polarized relating– some practical applications for lifesituations. The long term couple – how to keep the passion alive?Polarity increases when there is more distance and mystery sobeing together all the time will decrease the magnetism of thepartners. So take time apart, do things without your partner, don’talways know what the other person is doing. This is somethingto experiment with and find out what creates more polaritybetween you. Some couples find that having separate bedrooms,or households, is more alluring than sleeping together everynight. For others this would be too separating and they want theintimacy of a shared bedroom. But intimacy doesn’t necessarilycreate passionate love for which we need both safety andsurprise. In the domestic arena knowing how to communicate your needsis the key – the masculine responds to sensory informationand feedback from his partner. “Honey, this smells really bad”works a lot better than a directive “Take the garbage out!” Thisis not manipulation, it is communication that is grounded in theknowledge and honouring of the differences between men andwomen. When a man can find humor in the midst of life’s ‘moments’ hedemonstrates his freedom. Not trivializing what is important butbeing able to let it all go will have a positive impact on a woman… she will be impressed and opened by his ability to be a ‘rockin the storm’.. . . read more from Cynthia on page 23Visit www.livinglove.com.au for details on up-comingevents and Cynthia’s individual sessions. You can email info@livinglove.com.au or call 0408 205 671LIVING LOVEFor Singles and CouplesJuly 30/31stinspired by David Deida‘Highly recommended . . .the most fun you can have withyour clothes on!’ Shirley Zwww.LivingLove.com.aucall - 0408 205 671Facilitator - Cynthia ConnopCo-Facilitator - Ernst Damsinjoy8
