<strong>Face</strong>-<strong>Bow</strong> <strong>with</strong> <strong>Quick</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> <strong>Toggle</strong> <strong>Assembly</strong> InstructionsUsing the <strong>Quick</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> <strong>Toggle</strong> <strong>Assembly</strong>Ensure the bite fork has been sterilized beforeusing. Place bite registration material of choiceon bite fork. (Fig. 1)Fig. 1Position the bite fork so the center of thefork lines up <strong>with</strong> the midline of the maxilla.You need only capture the cusp tips of themaxillary teeth.Fig. 2Some clinicians support the bite forkunder neath by having their patient’s biteon cotton rolls. (Fig. 2)Ensure the arm of the ball fits inside the slot.This ensures the bite fork has the fullest rangeof movement anteriorly/posteriorly. (Fig. 3)Fig. 3We encourage you to rehearse thefollow ing steps <strong>with</strong> the patient so theycan become familiar <strong>with</strong> the procedureand offer assistance if needed.Loosen the three thumbscrews on the ear bowhalves, if this has not been done, and placethe face-bow frame on the patient. A finger cotplaced over each earpiece will help facilitateproper disinfection of the face-bow.3
