Traditions<br />

<strong>Sainte</strong> <strong>Maxime</strong>, faithful to its traditions shares<br />

with you all year long its festivals and traditions.<br />

• The first week-<strong>en</strong>d of February<br />

“Week-<strong>en</strong>d mimosa”, street shows on<br />

Saturday. On Sunday, “Corso du mimosa”<br />

(procession of floral floats) with musical and<br />

visual groups.<br />

• The 1st of May<br />

“Fête de la petite fille de mai”, a folklore<br />

festival c<strong>en</strong>tered around the prettiest and most<br />

well behaved little girl in a horse driv<strong>en</strong><br />

carriage.<br />

• The 14th and the 15th of May<br />

“Fête de la <strong>Sainte</strong> – Patronne” of the town.<br />

Procession in the town decorated in blue and<br />

white. Folklore. Prov<strong>en</strong>çale mass.<br />

•The 24th of June<br />

“Fête de la Saint-Jean“, the longest day<br />

of the year. Lamp light procession, big bonfire<br />

on the beach. Fireworks.<br />

• 8th and 9th September<br />

““Fête des V<strong>en</strong>danges“.<br />

Wine fest, fireworks and ball.<br />

• From mid-December to mid-January<br />

“Marché de Noël“, with about thirty<br />

traditional chalets handcraft, gastronomy,<br />

sweets. Special shows for childr<strong>en</strong> and<br />

From 15th June until 30th September,<br />

op<strong>en</strong> everyday from 7.30 am to 1 pm<br />
