designed specifically for the protection of
Ductile Iron for sanitary sewer service by providing
reliability similar to cement mortar lining
in drinking water service but having the excellent
chemical resistance of
a novolac epoxy. Easily
recognized brownish red
bells and spigots, as well
as stenciling showing “for
sewer only,” ensure that
the correct lined pipe is
used for sewer service. This combination of
design and formulation has resulted in a
Ductile Iron pipe lining system with excellent
durability and resistance to undercutting, abrasion
and chemical attack. RS# 124
Ultraliner
PVC Alloy is a term used to describe
Ultraliner’s uniquely enhanced PVC pipe,
which has been specifically engineered for
use in trenchless applications. While the
Ultraliner pipeliner
provides full,
independent
structural integrity,
it also has extremely high-impact strength and
a high degree of dimensional stability, with the
ability to relieve high levels of stress, without
structurally compromising the material. As a
result, Ultraliner will conform almost exactly to
the shape of an existing pipe, including size
transitions, tight bends, offset joints and other
irregularities. Ultraliner can be re-installed
over protruding taps and it will even conform
tightly to the shape of corrugated pipe. An
important characteristic of Ultraliner is the fact
that there is no significant shrinkage, neither
radially nor longitudinally, after it has been
installed. Therefore, it maintains its tight fit for
the design life of the material. Ultraliner is
manufactured in sizes 4 to 30 in. in both ASTM
1871 and 1504. RS# 125
Uni-Bell PVC Pipe
The rehabilitation of existing sewer and
water infrastructure is a challenge faced by all
utilities. PVC has a proven track record of
long-term performance
and leads the water and
sewer industry in market
share. Utilities, design
engineers and contractors
are benefiting from
the application of PVC pipe products to their
pipeline rehabilitation and trenchless installation
needs. If you would like more information
or have specific questions regarding the application
of PVC pipes for various trenchless
and/or rehabilitation needs, you are invited to
contact the Uni-Bell PVC Pipe Association or its
member companies. RS# 126
Watson-Marlow Bredel
Watson-Marlow Bredel, a leading manufacturer
of peristaltic pumps, will showcase its envi-
ronmental processing solutions, including
its new 720 Series peristaltic pumps, in
Booth # 2701. All Watson-Marlow Bredel
pumps on display offer an enduring solution
for tough environmental applications.
Unlike other pump types, the highly abrasive
nature of sludge and slurries does not
affect pump life. Each pump is virtually
maintenance-free
with no expensive
seals to replace, no
check valves to clog
and no rotors and
stators to wear out.
Also, hose replacement
is quick and easy with a self-loading
design.
The 720 family of peristaltic pumps
comes with the now-standard Watson-
Marlow Bredel five-year warranty.
Offering a smaller footprint, the 720
Series provides low shear and non-contacting
pumping with minimal downtime.
Also on display this year is the heavyduty
SPX pump, which reliably handles a
variety of harsh materials, such as sludge
and abrasive slurries. The SPX is ideal for
high-flow, high-pressure situations, capable
of handling flow rates of .08 gpm to
400 gpm at 230 psi. Advanced hose technology
enables dependable pumping of
corrosive chemicals at high flow and pressure
rates for a long period of time. For
