Richards, M.A., Citizen MemberThe Honorable Earl Ray TomblinGovernor <strong>of</strong> the State <strong>of</strong> <strong>West</strong> <strong>Virginia</strong>1900 Kanawha Boulevard EastCharleston, <strong>West</strong> <strong>Virginia</strong> 25305Dear Governor Tomblin:Presented herein is the Annual Report for the <strong>West</strong> <strong>Virginia</strong> <strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Examiners</strong> for<strong>Speech</strong>-<strong>Language</strong> <strong>Pathology</strong> and Audiology for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2012.The mission <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Board</strong> is to safeguard the public health by assuring and maintaining thepr<strong>of</strong>essional, provisional and assistant qualifications <strong>of</strong> <strong>Speech</strong>-<strong>Language</strong> Pathologists andAudiologists. The goal <strong>of</strong> this agency will be to maintain competent and pr<strong>of</strong>essionallyprepared licensed <strong>Speech</strong>-<strong>Language</strong> Pathologists and Audiologists in the State <strong>of</strong> <strong>West</strong><strong>Virginia</strong>.The <strong>Board</strong> is charged with the enforcement and administration <strong>of</strong> the provisions set forthin Chapter 30, Article 32 <strong>of</strong> the <strong>West</strong> <strong>Virginia</strong> Code relating to the licensure and regulation<strong>of</strong> <strong>Speech</strong>-<strong>Language</strong> Pathologists and Audiologists.The <strong>Board</strong> consists <strong>of</strong> five members appointed by the governor; two (2) members being<strong>Speech</strong>-<strong>Language</strong> Pathologists, two (2) members being Audiologists and one (1) citizenmember.
