Hagin celebrates50 years in ministryI sent for some Bible correspondence schoolinformation and received a RHEMA catalog.I was 58 years old, had a houseful ofgrandbabies, a husband with a career, andthere was no way I could go to school. Butas I held the catalog in my hands, I knewGod was calling me to RHEMA. By Campmeeting2006, we moved and I was enrolledin RHEMA. God took care of every detail.Words cannot describe the revelation thatcame during the next two years. My entirefamily’s lives were changed completely.RHEMA didn’t just fit in God’s plan forus; it was the major link that enabled it tohappen!(Connie and her family live in Tuttle,Oklahoma, where they’ve started a businessand serve in their church.)Art Mills (’08, ’09)—I had it in my heartto come to RHEMA since 1985. In December2005, the Lord spoketo me that now was thetime. It wasn’t an audiblevoice, but it was a reallystrong “knowing.” Afterdiscussing this with mywife and reviewing all ofthe reasons why wecouldn’t go, I found myself in the garageweeping. I laid out all of the reasons whywe couldn’t go to the Lord. The Holy Spiritsaid, “Don’t you think I’ve consideredthat?” That’s when I understood that Healready had seen and provided. When theHoly Spirit says go, it’s because you can go.I went and RHEMA changed my life.(Art is currently serving in Altar Care atRBC; he and his wife both work in Tulsa).2000—International RBTCs open in Austria, Brazil,Colombia, Peru, the South Pacific, and Thailand / RBTCbegins third-year pastoral and worship programs2001—International RBTCopens in SingaporeCurrent StudentsAs in the past, so in the present, God has beencalling people to attend RHEMA . . . andthey’re still being called today. As alumni, you’re familiar with the past, but be encouraged that others are beingadded to your ranks every year. Let usintroduce you to a couple of them:Matt Fleming—RHEMA School of WorldMissions (Third Year)I was living in the world, drinking and doingdrugs, when I surrenderedmy heart to God. Itold Him, “If you tell mewhat to do, I’ll do it.” ButI still kept living for theworld. One night I was at a friend’s housedrinking when someone told me aboutanother friend who was going to RHEMA.When I heard the word “RHEMA,” somethinghappened in my heart. I went outsideand heard an audible voice tell me, “That’swhat I want you to do.” So I applied toRHEMA and I was denied! My pastor andthe dean had talked and decided I shouldwait a year. So for a year I sought God, gotoff drugs, served faithfully in my church, and then got accepted. Now I’m in mythird year.”(Matt is from Clearwater, Florida.)2006—RHEMA Praise TVprogram celebrates 10thanniversary. We lost everythingafter the revolution, andas a result, my father wasvery bitter. I passed theexam to go to university, but after a year, I was kicked outbecause of my family’s background. I hadbuilt a future dependent upon my education, and when I lost that, I was angry andrebellious. I fell into deep depression andbegan to look for ways to commit suicide. One day I saw Reza Safa (’86) on TV. Hesaid, “Jesus can change you. He is Lord, andHe died for you. He can give you peace, andanswer your questions.”I said, “Jesus, I don’t know you. But thisman says you died for my sins. If it’s true, come into my life and change me.” I beganto weep, and then I began to speak intongues! I went to see my mother, a devoutMuslim, who had been sick for years. I laidmy hands on her, even though I’d neverseen it done before, and she was healed! Ibegan talking to others about Jesus andeventually my entire family was saved. Oneday a man tried to kill me for witnessing, and God told me to leave the country. I fledto Turkey without a passport or money, andafter working in a church there, I wasaccepted by the United Nations as a refugee.I came to the U.S. and eventually toTulsa because I knew some people there. When I got to Tulsa, everyone was talkingabout RHEMA, and I knew I had to come.I didn’t have money, but God did miraclesand opened the doors, and now I’m aRHEMA student! I know God has a callingfor me. It’s not by accident that I’m here.Momentumrhema.org | 7
