They thereforedo not fall within the remit of the Low Voltage Directive73/23/EEC.The user must ensure conformity with the EMC Directive89/336/EEC by using corresponding switching devices orcontrols. When using the recommended Kendrion accessories, conformity with the EMC Directive is stated on therespective data sheets. The peak forces given in the table are based on operatingtemperature and 100% rated voltage for a referencecoil temperature of 35°C.Peak force F = magnetic force for rated air gap andnon-vibrating state. The VA values were determined for rated air gap andnon-vibrating state. They represent maximum valuesfor the temperature rise according to the testing provisionsof DIN VDE 0580 (July 2000), point5.5.1/5.5.2.An additional, red, blank tag is required when connectingvia a half-wave rectifier.Technical specificationTypeMax. ratedair gap[mm]Connectionto 50 Hz[VA]Peak force, max.rated air gapF[N]Connection viahalf-wave rectifier[VA]Peak force, max.rated air gapF[N]Solenoidweight[kg]Armatureweight[kg]OAC003001/WS 3BOAC005002/WS 5B2OAC006001/WS 6BOAC007001/WS 7BOAC008001/WS 8BOAC009001/WS 9BOAC010001/WS 10BOAC011001/WS 11BOAC012001/WS 12BOAC013001/WS 13BOAC014001/WS 14B212.53333.53.54561560701364102824806501000182632804.060.015.040.0370.0110.0160.0320.0360.0400.0550.01442681254103155257301155220035205.038.024.045.0370.0150.0200.0360.0460.0480.0900.00.1250.4500.5801.0002.4001.9503.8505.4509.20019.00026.3000.0250.0850.1100.1500.5500.3300.6801.0001.8003.1006.200Key to type designationOAC 006 001 / WS 6B1Version/xxxSize within seriesDevice group(AC vibrating solenoid)1. Vibrating solenoids for direct connection to amains power supply are given the voltage rating, for example, 230 V,50 Hz. In the case of a directconnection to a mains power supply, the mechanicalvibration generated is twice as high as the mainsfrequency because every half-wave generates a magneticattraction pulse. Shortly after crossing the zero pointof the electric current, the polarity of the field of force isreversed. Here, the magnetic force is equal to zero.2. Vibrating solenoids for connecting via a halfwaverectifier are given the voltage rating, forexample, G 230 V (50 Hz). A half-wave rectifier connectedin series cuts off either the positive or negativehalf-wave of the alternating current. The use of a halfwaverectifier results in a mechanical vibration with thesame magnitude as the mains frequency. The currentflowing through the vibrating solenoid is a pulsatingdirect current. The power drop of the smaller frequencyis compensated for by the larger amplitude. Harmonicsoccurring in the excitation frequency prevent moistloose materials from sticking to the vibrating conveyor, and clogging of the mesh in close-mesh vibrating sieves.Example of order1) Connection to AC supplyOAC006001, version 1230 VAC, 50 Hz, 100% duty cycle2.5 mm rated air gap, 70 VA2) Connection via half-wave rectifierOAC006001, version 1G 230 V (50 Hz), 100% duty cycle2.5 mm rated air gap, 68 VAVersions deviating from the product data sheetsmust be specified with the order.www.kendrionmt.com 13
