LED Lighting 

LightGraphix have created a large number of fittings to utilise the advantages 

of the latest Light Emitting Diode technologies from a range of LED 

manufacturers. We pick the best LED for each application and then design our 

fittings around the LED. We negotiate tight bin selections with our suppliers 

and carefully monitor LED’s in production to ensure matching warm and cool 

whites. 

We place particular importance on the heat management of our luminaires, 

and by designing each product around the LED we can use the housing as part 

of the heat sink. This ensures a practical life of 50,000 hours to 70% output is 

achieved. 

Colour Output from the LED’s range from 2700K to 5000K with a range of vivid 

colours. With the option of colour changing in some of the LED fittings. 

All LED’s require a constant current (350mA or 700mA) and because they are 

diodes polarity is critical. Wiring diagrams are included in the drivers section 

to show how 1W and 2W LED’s are wired in series. Voltages and current are 

inherently safe (ESLV) with low energy consumption. 

The ultra-long lamp life enables some fittings to be fully sealed and achieve 

ratings up to IP68.

New LED Developments 

The development of LED’s is constant and fast moving, with new technology 

enabling higher outputs, efficiency and thermal qualities. Current best system 

output from warm white (2950K) LED’s is about 60 lumens per Watt and 

improving all the time, but there is still some way to go before they beat 

fluorescent and metal halide. 

As soon as new components are tested and proven, LightGraphix will utilise 

these in further fittings and systems.

Fixing Sleeves 

Some of our luminaries can either be fixed by bonding directly to the surface or by spring clips. But on most of our spotlight 

range we now offer a first fix sleeve which is either bonded or pushed into the fixing hole. The luminiare is then supplied 

with ‘O’ rings which is then pushed into the sleeve. This allows the fitting to be installed after the completion of all 

construction and decoration work.

These ‘Drive over’ fittings have a 316 brushed stainless steel bezel and 5mm 

LD56T & LD256T 

It is also available with the lens tilted at 6° for wall washing or column

Specially designed for a client, with very minimal glare, it is an IP68 rated 

steplight or bulkwalk mounted yacht decklight with a 5mm Borofloat glass. The 

LED is hidden from view by a black anodized shield behind half the glass and 

whilst the lack of a lens means output is lower, it is adequate for gentle deck and 

steplighting without any glare from the lightsource (2W 700mA recommended).

LD91 Reading Light 

Designed for maximum versatility this ‘cool-to-touch’ bedside light is designed 

for wall or headboard mounting to provide close range low-glare and heat free 

illumination. It has an integral 240V input driver and a switch. We think it looks 

best in this bright chrome finish. The flexible arm allows easy and accurate 

adjustment and the specially designed lens ensures a soft, even spread of light 

to read by. The LED is protected by a clear glass lens. 

For hotel use we can customise the base for concealed fixing in the bedheads 

or remote switching etc.

Downlights including miniature versions for display 

LD1050 

Designed primarily for the yacht market this is our Mk1 LED replacement for 

dichroic halogen downlights. By the time this comes to print we will have 

developed Mk2 which will be aimed more at architectural situations! Please 

contact us for more details. 

The light source is 7 high CRI warm white LED’s running at 700mA (2W each). 

They are widely spaced (20mm) which creates a slightly larger fitting but 

allows us to control heat efficiently without a large heat sink. Thus the LD1050 

is much shallower and more cost effective. It is rated IP54 from the front. 

At the moment the output is equivalent to a 35W 36° MR16, with good warm 

white colour, 25° beam angle and a CRI of 93.

LED Light Tube 

A very small and versatile linear LED product, it gives out a very broad and 

even glow at very close distances. It is a 24V DC system allowing long lengths 

to be powered from a single driver. See our comparison table for the maximum 

lengths and cut increments available. 

It has been used in a variety of applications which include coves, understairs, 

back lighting, shelving and many more. 

The clear polycarbonate extrusion was specifically designed for our LED 

LightTube. This is extruded with a groove down the inside to align the flexible 

PCB based LED’s and keep them in the same plane. It also protects the LED’s 

from impacts and dust, and facilitates easy cleaning. 

LD12LT LED Lighttube is IP44 as standard but can be sealed to IP68. 

IP44 rated tubes require 25mm for end cap and termination. When manufacturing 

to IP68, end finishing becomes 60mm.

This range of linear LED products is truly unique to us with the use of specially 

designed linear reflectors integrated around the LED’s. By using a reflector we 

don’t get the uneven spotting from lenses or the loss of output from just using 

the LED by itself. This also means that when we use the Tri RGB chip the 

colours mix very well… 

LGX linear products are very small, but with impressive light output, no UV, no

within a broad beam reflector. When surface mounted at the front edge of the

various beam angle optics available. The two part extruded aluminium system

defined cones depending on the lens. 

LD35 and LD235 are available with a clear cover over the lenses as well as

LD35/LD235 IP68 

Exterior LD35/LD235 is an IP68 class III SELV system suitable for harsh 

environments, whether on building facades, illuminating window reveals, or 

submerged in water features. 

The polycarbonate extrusion is manufactured to the custom length required, 

up to a maximum of 3500mm and is surface mounted. Fixed by means of spring 

clip or saddle clip (see opposite), both enabling the tube to be rotated, to direct 

the light output.

LD25 Prismex Panel 

LD25 can be used with a prismex acrylic panel. When edge lit from both sides 

an even spread of light is produced across the panel with good intensity. 

As this is such a custom product it is best to send us a sketch of what you require. 

The maximum size of a Prismex Panel is 3m x 1.5m 

1.5m is the maximum distance between two illuminated sides. 

If illuminating from one side then 0.8m is the maximum width.

LD30/LD230 Hanging Rail 

Using the LD30 Linear LED system, this is a very neat way of illuminating 

clothes in wardrobes. The built in 78° reflector focuses the light down onto the 

clothes and as it is LED there is no UV and projected heat so it is perfect for 

this application. The profile is held in place by two matching machined 

brackets, and if a length of more than 1.2m is required then centre supports 

can be specified. We recommend that the standard silver anodised finish is 

used as this the hardest wearing.

IP68 Driver 

Drivers available in IP68 versions are supplied in a clear polycarbonate tube 

with sealing end caps and glands for the cables. See driver table for 

dimensions. 

Gear Trays 

When multiple drivers are required (which is usually the case with our linear 

LED systems) we can supply up to 5 drivers on a gear tray. This makes the 

installation quicker and tidier.
