The screens broadcast the Games liveto outdoor viewers (see www.ledsmagazine.com/press/15979).LED dragons illuminate fountainsOsram Opto Semiconductors and Tong Fang Co. Ltd. used Osram Golden Dragon LEDs to illuminate the elegant water fountainsin Beijing’s Olympic Park. These LEDs, with lens and enhanced thin-film LED components, provided the “dragon” withits characteristic golden glow. Installed in July in Beijing, the fountains are located along the north east side of the Bird’s Nestand the Water Cube in Olympic Park. The 600 m long fountain is formed by thousands of tiny water jets arranged in a long,gentle curve cutting through the Olympic Park, creating a river stretching two kilometers long.
