enelosures covered by <strong>EC</strong>-Type Examination Certificate No BASOIA<strong>TE</strong>X2208U, coded ® 1I2 GD<br />
EEx e 1I fitted with terminals having their own <strong>EC</strong>-Type Examination Component Certificate<br />
Numbers and list on Document No: TSG-A<strong>TE</strong>X, issue I, dated Ist May, 2001.<br />
The terminals must be used within their relevant voltage, CUITentand temperature limitations whilst<br />
complying with all their relevant Schedule of Limitations and creepage and elearance distances<br />
required by EN 50019.<br />
In order to maintain the temperature elass called up on the label the maximum power dissipated<br />
within the box must not exceed that shown in the table for the individual enclosures.<br />
Earthing facilities and cable entries are described as part of the empty enelosure certificate (No<br />
BASOIA<strong>TE</strong>X2208U).<br />

Increased ambient temperature of 60°C with a consequential reduction in the maximum power<br />
dissipated as shown in the table.<br />

17 Special Conditions For Safe Usc<br />
1. Not more than one single or multiple strand wiring lead shall be eonnccted into either side of<br />
any terminal.<br />
2. All terminal serews, used and unused, shall be lightencd down.<br />
3. Any cross eonneeted terminal assembly fitted with a jumper bar shall be mounted and used<br />
subjeet to the limitations given in the eertifieation documents for that terminal.<br />
4. Leads eonneeted to the terminals shall bc insulated for the appropriate voltage and the<br />
insulation shall cxtcnd to within Imm ofllte metal orthe terminal throat.<br />

5. To maintain the temperature dass and to limit the maximum temperature of PVC conductor<br />
insulation to 80°C, the wiring conductors of power circuits should not bc loomed in such a ~<br />
manner as to significantly increase the temperature of any individual conductor. In the<br />
absence of other information, a satisfactory method of achicving this object would be 10 ensure ~<br />
that no conductor is containcd \vithin a wiring 100m comprising a greatcr number of<br />
conductors than the cable or conduit from which the conducter originales.<br />
