Navigator XXI - a modern research /trainingvessel <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Maritime</strong> <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Szczecin</strong>• adjusted to the 1st service area by the provisions <strong>of</strong>the PRS, i.e., to sail the North Sea and other seaswithin 200 nautical miles from a place <strong>of</strong> refuge, witha maximum distance between two places <strong>of</strong> refugeto 400 nautical miles and sailing on the Baltic Seaand other enclosed seasVessel tasks:• monitoring <strong>of</strong> the Baltic Sea and other maritimeareas• sampling <strong>of</strong> water at different depths and differentregions <strong>of</strong> the sea• sampling <strong>of</strong> soil from the bottom surface and thepits, treatment <strong>of</strong> samples in laboratories,transmission <strong>of</strong> data to coastal recipients• training <strong>of</strong> students in the field <strong>of</strong> navigation, powerplant and on-board equipment operation, as well asparticipation in research works
