We’re going to use it todraw people together from across thecounty to learn new skills, share storiesand to celebrate our shared agriculturalheritage."For over 150 years the old livestockmarket operated at the heart <strong>of</strong> Herefordcity, bringing with it an unmistakablenoisy hub <strong>of</strong> activity: buying,selling, trading, gossip, drama, intrigue,romance and heartache – allthe elements <strong>of</strong> a thriving culturalcommunity.The resulting film, based on people’sstories, will be screened across thecounty, while the website will be souser-friendly anyone can use it. “Wewant everyone to be able to uploadtheir own comments, memories, photosand videos,” said Rick Goldsmith.As one regular market man put it, "Ithas to be done now, not just for farmersbut for the wider communitytoo.”This heritage project marks thelaunch <strong>of</strong> local company Catcher Media’snew community interest company,Catcher Media Social, which hasbeen set up to provide opportunitiesto participate in hands-on and excitingface-to-face projects, which enablepeople to become active andwell-skilled in their use <strong>of</strong> digital andonline media.So, if you are interested in getting involvedand receiving some guided,hands-on training, or if you have astory to share, please get in touchwith Jo Henshaw on 07788 643184 or01432 266611, or by email: joannahenshaw@btinternet.com.‘Chewing the Cud’ is also kindly supportedby the Cargill CommunityPartnership and the NFUM CommunityGiving Fund.
