All Digital I/O signals on DB25 connector are short-circuit proof* and protected against temporary
overvoltage.
* Single I/O only. Total current should be limited to less than 25 mA.
If a Digital IO is used as output to drive a Led, no additional series resistor is needed. The internal protection
resistor will act as a current limiter.
Example:
Output Voltage when "high": 3.3V
Typical forward voltage of a red Led: 1.8V (2.1V typ. for green Led)
Current flow: (3.3V - 1.8V) / 150 Ohm = 10mA
Please note that the screw terminals have different resistor values than the ones of the SUB-D pins!
