18 19NAVIGATOR NAVIn principle the NAV, an adaptationof the SCHOTTEL Rudderpropel ler(SRP), is a largescale mobileoutboard plant, providing thevessel with 360 degrees steerablemanoeuvrability.All main components of theSCHOTTEL Navigator are mountedon the base frame, which alsoaccommodates the daily fuel tank.A canopy protects the completeunit. A diesel engine is used as theprime mover. The electrical andelectronic monitoring elements areinstalled in an integrated switchcabinet. The clutch between theprime mover and the Rudderpropellertransmits the power througha flexible coupling and a universalshaft.Im Prinzip ist der NAV eine Adaptiondes SCHOTTEL Ruderpropellers(SRP) mit einem Motoraggregat:Der um 360° steuerbare Ruderpropellerder mobilen Außen bord an la -ge verleiht dem Schiff hervorra gendeManövrierfähigkeit.Ein Grundrahmen, der neben denHauptelementen auch den Tagestankbeinhaltet, dient zur Aufnahmedes Ruderpropellers unddes Antriebs motors mit Anbauteilensowie der Navigatorhaube. AlsAntrieb kommt ein Dieselmotorzum Einsatz. In einem integriertenSchaltschrank sind die elektrischenund elektronischen Überwachungselementeinstalliert. Die Schaltkupplungzwischen Motor undRuderpropeller überträgt die Leistungüber eine elastische Kupplungund eine Gelenkwelle zum Ruderpropeller.
