Results attained in ttie above English tests will remain valid for two
years ft-om the date of testing. If a student is unable to provkle proof of
English proficiency at ttie time of application, one of the atx)ve tests
will need to be undertaken.
NB : The requirement may be waived for applicants wtio meet all of
the following criteria:
completion of a degree, or equivalent qualification, from
an approved institution located in a country where the
official language Is English, and
where the language of instruction was English, and
the qualification was attained within two years of applying
to the University of Wollongong.
The University reserves the right to increase the standards as
set out above in individual cases.
The University of Wollongong offers 'English Language Intensive
Courses for (Dverseas Students' Uirough ttie Woltongong University
College on campus. These courses provide the opportunity to acquire
a sound knowledge of English for a variety of purposes, including
academic English for entry to university.
International Student Adviser
Support and assistance is availabte to help intemational students with
difficulties they might face in adapting to life in a foreign culture. If
students are having difficulties it is important ttiat ttiey seek advice.
The Intemational Student Advisers can provide advice on a wide
range of issues including personal proljlems, academic (xncems,
immigration, tegal matters, accidents, family worries or
emergences. The office also coordinates the Intemational Friendship
Program to facilitate links between students and the local community.
Charges Relating to International Students
When accepting an offer of admission, all new intemational shjdents
must pay ttie normal sessional fee. If students undertake
subjects/credit points in addition to the nonmal full time toad they are
required to pay extra fees. Re-enrolling students can pay reduced fees
when undertaking subjects/credit points tess than the nonmal full time
load; any overpayments will be aedited to the next session. This does
not apply to AusAID, IDP, Study Abroad, Exchange students and some
Australian and overseas scholarship schemes.
The schedute of fees for intemational students undertaking a nonmal
ftjil time load is availabte from the Intemational Office.
The operative dates for calculation of ttie number of credit points in
which intemational students are enrolled will be 31 March for Autumn
Sesson and 31 August for Spring Sesston each year. Students who
withdraw from subjects after these dates will still be liat>le for
the fees for those sut>jects. Ttiese dates are known as ttie
Intemational Student Audit Dates.
International Students Late Charge
A late fee of $450 applies to Intemational students who have not paid
their tuition fee in full prior to ttie commencement of session

LOST PROPERTY
Enquiries conceming lost property shouU be made to the Security
Office, UniCentre Building.
NOTICES
Official University notices are displayed on the notice boards and
students are expected to be acquainted with the contents of those
announcements which concem them.
OWNERSHIP OF STUDENTS' WORK
The University reserves the right to retain at its own discretion the
original or one copy of any drawings, models, designs, plans and
specifications, essays, theses or ottier work executed by students as
part of their courses, or submitted for any award or competition
conducted by the University.
PARKING
Approximately 2,500 partying spaces are availabte on campus. These
spaces are categorised into Red, Blue and motorcycte areas, witii Red
areas closest to campus facilities.
Red partying pennits costs $161.00 pa and Blue penmits costs $94.00
pa. Half year pennits are also availabte on application at the
