Bachelor of Creative Arts-Bachelor of Computer Sdence;
Bachelor of Creative Arts-Bachelor of Laws;

112. Course Requirements for Honours Bachelor Degrees in
Arts, Commerce, Computer Science, Creative Arts,
Mathematics, Nursing and Science
To qualify for award of an honours degree of:
Bachelor of Arts;
Bachelor of Commerce;
Bachelor of Computer Sdence;
Bachelor of Creative Arts;
Bachelor of Mathematics;
Bachelor of Nursing; or
Bachelor of Sctence;
by either a single or a combined program of study as presaibed in
Rute 104, a foil time candidate shall, within a period of two consecutive
sessions not induding summer session, or a part time candidate shall,
within a period of four consecutive sessions nd induding summer
session, as prescribed at registration, accrue an aggregate of at least
48 aedit points by ttie satisfadory completion of an approved
combination of 400 level subjeds listed under ttie entries of ttie
relevant academic unit or units in tiie appropriate Sdiedute or
Schedules.
113. Conferral of Awards
(1) Awards shall be conferred in accordance with ttie relevant
provisions of Rutes 014 and 113(2) to (11).
(2) Notwittistanding ttie provisions of part (1) of each of Rules 105
to 109 and mte 110, the degree of
Bachelor of Arts;
Bachelor of Commerce;
Bachelor of Computer Sdence;
Bachelor of Creative Arts;
Bachelor of Mathematics; or
Bachelor of Sctence;
may be conferred upon a candidate registered for a retevant
double degree course and who satisfies the ottier provisions of
ttie relevant Rule by ttie satisfadory completion of subjeds
having a value of at teast 144 credit points of which:

(a) a presaibed minimum number of aedit points,
induding a major study, shall be for subjeds listed in
ttie General Sdiedute; and
(b) ttie other credit points shall be either, or botti, for
subjeds presaibed in ttie doubte degree course or
for subjects from ttie General Schedule.
(3) The degree of Bachelor of Arts may be confer-ed upon a
candtoate for ttie Bachelor of Arts-Bachelor of Engineering
degrees who satisfadorily comptetes subjeds having ttie
value of at teast 144 aedit points and which satisfy
requirements stipulated in Rule 105.
(4) Prior to the confemng of a degree of Bachelor of Education or
an Honours degree of Bachelor of Education upon a candtoate
who holds either a Diploma in Teaching or a Bachelor of
Teaching of this University, the candtoate shall be deemed to
have sun-endered ttie testamur for ttiat Diploma in Teaching
or Bachelor of Teaching and in so doing shall be deemed to
have sunendered all rights relating to the Diploma or degree.
(5) Prior to ttie conferring of a degree of Badielor of
Biotechnology or an honours degree of Bachelor of
Biotechnology upon a candidate who holds a Bachelor d
Sdence of this University attained by satisfadory completion
of subjeds presaibed for the first three years for the degree of
Bachelor of Biotechnology, ttie candtoate shall be deemed to
have sun-endered ttie testamur for ttiat Bachelor of Sdence
and in so doing shall be deemed to have surrendered all rights
relating to tiie degree.
(6) A candtoate who has attained an approved standard d
achievement in the course for ttie pass degree of Bachelor d
Commerce may te awarded that degree with merit, as
presaibed in Attachment H.
(7) Prior to conferring of a degree of Bachelor of Laws upon a
candtoate who hotos a Graduate Diploma in Law, with
spedalisation other ttian Court Policy and Administration, d
this University, ttie candtoate shall be deemed to have
surrendered ttie testamur for ttiat graduate diploma and in
doing so shall be deemed to have surrendered all rights
relating to ttie graduate.
(8) A pass bachelor degree shall nd be confen-ed upon a
candtoate who is registered for ttie con-esponding honours
bachelor degree.
(9) Prior to the conferring of an honours bachelor degree upon a
candidate who holds the con-esponding pass bachelor degree
of this University, ttie candtoate shall be deemed to have
sun-endered ttie testamur for that pass bachelor degree and in
doing so shall be deemed to have surrendered all rights
relating to the pass bachelor degree.
(10) A candidate for a pass degree of
Bachelor of Biotechnology;
Bachelor of Education;
Bachelor of Engineering;
Bachelor of Environmental Sdence;
Bachelor of Information & Communication Technology;
Bachelor of Lavre;
Bachelor of Mathematical Sdences;
Bachelor of Mathematics and Economics;
Bachelor of Mathematics and Finance;
Bachelor of Medical Physics;
Bachelor of Medidnal Chemistry;
Bachelor of Polymer Science and Engineering; or
Bachelor of Psychology;
who comptetes satisfadorily the subjeds prescribed in one d
the courses listed in ttie relevant schedute at ttie standard of
achievement presaibed in Attachment D1(3) following ttiese
Rules, shall receive the corresponding honours degree
(11) A candtoate who satisfadorily completes relevant
requirements may be awanjed the honours bachelor degree in
one of the dasses:
