LINEAR DRAINAGEInstallation Guidelines contd.DRAINAGE CHANNEL PROFILE SVF-FOR USE WITH FLEXIBLE SHEET FLOORCOVERINGThe following additional notes / procedures apply:Typical Installation in a vinyl covered floor1. Dress floor covering into channel and fix inaccordance with flooring manufacturer's instructions.2. Fit clamping frames and gratings.SUPASLOT CHANNELSThe following additional notes / procedures apply.1. The slot is covered with an adhesive tape to preventdebris falling into the channel during installation. Donot remove the tape until installation is complete.DRAINAGE CHANNELS WITHPERIMETER ANGLE FRAMEThe following additional notes / procedures apply:1. The gap between the outside edge of the channeland the angle frame is covered with an adhesivetape to prevent debris filling up the gap duringinstallation. Do not remove the tape until installationis complete.2. When the channel is installed, lay the floor into theperimeter angle frame.3. Once the floor is set, carefully remove the spacerbars between the angle frame and the channelusing an angle grinder or similar.Note:Do not remove the spacer bars before fitting thechannel, as it would then be impossible to maintainthe position of the frame relative to the channel.4. Thoroughly clean the gap between the channel andangle frame, degrease and fill with a permanentlyelastic expansion joint sealant. If corrosivechemicals are likely to be present, consult sealantmanufacturer on suitability.Typical InstallationGullies with Linear DrainageWade floor gullies, trapped or untrapped can be used withstainless steel drainage channel as illustrated.Details of a comprehensive range of stainless steel, castiron and gunmetal floor gullies are included in pages 4 to 33.With D1004 LD Non-Trapped body.With G304 LD ‘P’ trapped body.With optional tile upstand(SVFT profile shown)41
