Regional Umpires.The <strong>NCAA</strong> game representative and host institution will arrange a meeting Tuesdayevening, May 14, between the coaches and administrators of each institution, theumpiring crew, and other game management personnel. The crew chief andassistant crew chief are required to attend. A ground rule review meeting will alsobe scheduled.2. National Championship Umpires.The national coordinator will meet with <strong>NCAA</strong> staff, baseball committee, and teamrepresentatives at a pre-tournament meeting 8 p.m. <strong>Central</strong> time, Wednesday, May22.6.2 - UMPIRE CREW MEETING.1. Regionals.Before the tournament, the crew chief and assistant crew chief will conduct ameeting with the entire crew. It is preferred that the meeting be held the morning ofthe first game. The crew chief will conduct a thorough review of the four-manmechanics that are to be used during the tournament, including a review of the fourmanmechanics videotape, and announce the rotation for the tournament. He willdiscuss off-field behavior, set a time to review ground rules with the <strong>NCAA</strong> gamerepresentative, and answer any questions from the crew.2. National Championship.The entire crew will meet at 8 P.M. CENRAL TIME, THURSDAY, MAY 23, atthe Settle Inn. Game assignment for the first two days will be announced at thismeeting.6.3 – TICKETS.1. Regional Tournaments.Tickets for tournaments must be arranged for and purchased from the hostinstitution. No umpire should ask for or receive tickets for guests at no charge. It isrecommended that host institutions provide seats for non-working umpires.10 of 50
