They were subsequentlyreleased on bail and Jupiter was again back in businessand indulging in illegal betting and engaging in high levelfixing of players in IPL 6.The confessional statement of Mr. Ramesh Vyas recordedunder Section 18 of the MCOCA by the Delhi Policerevealed that it was Jupiter who had introduced him to Dr.Javed Chutani and had facilitated Ramesh’s entry into thesyndicate and thereafter with the approval of Dawood

The DelhiPolice in their deposition before the Committee took aposition that they were aware that conversations betweencertain bookies had disclosed contact of bookies withtwo former star Indian players, but did not take theinformation forward as they thought that the bookies weregenerally in the habit of boasting. According to DelhiPolice, lot of players had received gifts frombusinessmen/jewellers. The Delhi Police stated that there
