Total donations distributed through the Gifts In Kind CenterDonating Goodsto the Community.Gifts-in-KindUnited Way’s Gifts-in-Kind program partners withindividual donors and local companies to collect newand gently-used goods. The products that are collectedare redistributed to local nonprofits agencies andprovide household items for families in transitionalhomes, suits for men re-entering the workforce andoffice equipment to help nonprofits run more effectively.In 2012, Gifts-in-Kind collected $1.1 million in goodsand redistributed them to more than 40 local agencies.On average, agencies received a $24,000 investmentthrough the Gifts-in-Kind program.
