Above Fez jars in cobalt blue withbrass details. The inspiration for this home, came from the ideas of the client themselves.Already, envisioning what they wanted inside their newly purchasedNaples home, they walked inside the Design District’s JalanJalan Collection with a prominent knowledge of what they wanted:a space that captures their worldy and beach-chic lifestyles. As a full service designer showroom, Jalan Jalan Collection works closely withtheir private clients to create an interior space that is visionary to both thedesigner and the client. Striving as being more of a consultation type of servicewith a “hands on approach,” the team at this Design District showroom isable to capture what the client wants in a professional but creative aspect, justlike they did with their recent Naples customers. The process all started when the couple walked into Jalan Jalan Collection ona Saturday afternoon, wandering around the showroom, finding inspirationfrom all over. “They walked in on a Saturday and fell in love with the collectionsfrom around the world,” said designer Bruce Platt from Jalan Jalan Collection.“They knew what they wanted and we knew how to deliver it.”Upon entering the home, Platt and his team previewed the space to see whatthe owners really wanted throughout the area. Platt explains that the rest of thefour days were intense with “going back and forth to furnish and decorate thespace,” which included hanging up artwork and mirrors for a more relaxed andbeach-inspired setting that would ideally be their “Naples vacation home.”As pronounced worldwide jet-setter's, this space would be the owner’s thirdhome, and knew “they wanted a clean, uncluttered organic yet fresh vibe thatallowed them to relish in the Naples climate and lifestyle.”In order to get this type of sanctuary, the team started out with the dining roomadding mix matched furniture that complemented each. The table is a mainfocal area with its root base that offers a sort of 50's inspired style, but stillgives a contemporary feel with a sleek, straight edge and thickly cut, roundglass top.Platt paired different type of mixed oversized chairs with the table that includedtwo in a bright orange leather and the remaining in canvas with tackaccents instead of nail heads to give it an “unfinished” look. Adding more seating, the casual round Serengeti hide on hair tufted ottomans from LeeIndustries are brought over to the table, when the family is entertaining.Design District 35
