Along withthese additions, “driftwood slices and lacquered metal plates bring exactly thetwo things together that we love so much organic yet modern,” stated Platt.One driftwood piece in particular is featured outside of the master bedroomalong the hallway, that was made by Naples own artist, Ed Koehler. The largesculpture of a driftwood wall sconce with light dimmer works nicely with thedark chocolate brown wall behind it.In the little girl’s room, the design team created a playful space with soothinglavender tones accented by an elegant striped wall. A raffia bed, the WilliamsDesk by Baltus - available through Jalan Jalan, and custom floating shelves allgive this area a welcoming, beach theme that compliments the rest of thehouse while still keeping it child appropriate.Inside the TV room, there is a Jannero blue sectional sofa with natural teakwood cabinets and blue and white accents. The back drop features stunningoversized art pieces including “the Capistrano Seaweed” prints that wereimported from London.Lastly, the outside area consists of “Loggia slip covered outdoor upholstery byLee Industries,” with an imported weavers table from Indonesia, and chairsthat were actually created from old wine barrels, with real red tones from thetannin found in the wine.
