The study includes theanalysis of the frequency of rainy days, rain days andheavy rainfall days as well as one-day extreme rainfalland return period analysis in order to observe the impactof climate changes on Extreme weather events and floodrisk in India. The report will give some interesting findingswhich are very useful for hydrological planning anddisaster managements. It has been found that frequencyof heavy rainfall events are decreasing in major parts ofthe central and north India while increasing in thepeninsular India, east and north east India.
