This page, nearly 3,000 flags flown in remembrance ofthose who died from the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon and in a field in Shanksville, Pa., marking the opening of the Pentagon Memorial on Sept.11, 2008. Fluttering from 184 of the flags are blue ribbons with the names of those killed when American Airlines Flight 77 slammed into the west side of the Pentagon.Fifty-nine of the victims were aboard the aircraft, the other 125 were Pentagon personnel.
