Chorley Borough Council andContour Homes provided the skips forthe day, and staff helped by collectingitems from homes of people who hadmobility difficulties.Following this, environmental projects willnow start on Mendip Road, which aimsto improve the brook banking that isreceding. The Council are also looking atthe possibility of providing bins along thebrook to help reduce littering.Residents on the estate welcomed theskip service, as not everyone has themeans to dispose of bulky items easily,and the residents are now lookingforward to seeing what theimprovements to the brook will bring.Whats on…• New for Callon, Preston –Workclub Drop-in sessions everyTuesday 10am to 12, starts26th June 2012 at the CallonContour Homes office.• Need specialist employmentsupport.
