Community ProjectsIt’s All About You...Wherever you go, people want to know your business.Your age, gender, sexuality, race, whether you are disabled…where does all this information go? It goes to help make thingsbetter, that’s where it goes. It tells us where to direct ourservices and makes sure you get the right slice of what youare paying for. We cannot change things without your help.Your Neighbourhood and Customer Contact and SupportTeams, or in fact anyone that works for Contour Homes mayask you for pieces of missing information over the telephoneor in person. This is because we have a new, sophisticatedsystem in place in order to best tailor our services for you.We do not mean to sound nosey when we ask you over thephone, we are just trying to make sure we have the correctdetails. If you would rather complete in the form yourself, justlet us know and we will send it out to you.We are currently, taking income and benefits information tobest help you through the Welfare Reform and we are askingyou what we can do differently for you so that we can tailorour services and deliver excellent customer service. For example, if you have told us you need us to telephone acarer before we visit you, we will make sure we do that. Ormaybe you have asked us to bear in mind that you currentlyhave a broken leg, so we need to give you extra time inanswering the door or telephone, and will ensure our staff andcontractors know this.It is quite natural to feel protective of your personal information. It is not only natural, it is sensible. But if we do not know who isout there, we cannot be expected to get it right. Some peopleworry about giving information in case it falls into the wronghands, but we follow very strict laws to ensure we protect yourdetails and deal with them responsibly.I hope this has allayed any concerns you might have aboutwhy we are taking this information, but if you would like tospeak to someone in further detail about this you can callBelinda Hayes, Insight Officer on 0345 602 1120 or emailbeinvolved@symphonyhousing.org.uk26
