Among the related areas,it is oriented especially to artificial intelligence in research of knowledge approaches insolving problems of informatics and software engineering, and to information systemsrespecting their close relation to typical problem domains in software engineering.Within the mission, the institute especially−−contributes through its research to development of knowledge in the areas of scienceand technologies belonging to the mentioned areas,provides successful and high-quality study programmes in areas of its competenciesat each of the three levels of university education, in which• graduates with the first degree will be excellently prepared for Slovak andEuropean labour market and will be able to take care of themselves in theirown business and also to create employment opportunities to others,• graduates with the second degree will have acquired competencies andabilities to be leaders of specialist teams with deep expert knowledge andability of high creativity,• doctoral study graduates will be able to bring new original and innovativesolutions of complex problems.The institute is responsible for education in the following accredited degree programmes:−−−Informatics (bachelor degree),Information Systems (master degree),Software Engineering (master degree),81
